VentPlus for your family
Your bedroom is sealed for comfort — and that seal traps the one thing that decides how you feel at 7 AM. VentPlus is the best carbon dioxide monitor for Indian homes — a plug-and-play bedroom air quality monitor that keeps the air you breathe fresh, automatically, with the windows still locked.
Old Indian building architecture had a 'ventilator' near the ceiling of every room — an opening that let stale CO2 escape and drew fresh air in around the clock. The window air coolers of the 1980s went further still, forcing so much outdoor air inside that rooms stayed garden-fresh. Window air conditioners of the 1990s and 2000s changed the model — they recirculated the cooled air instead of pulling in new air, yet still offered a manual control to draw in a little fresh air and mix it with the cooled air. The split and cassette units of the 2010s and 2020s dropped even that: they simply recirculate the same indoor air, with no way for fresh air to get in.
Modern airtight modular windows seal the room tighter still — probably a necessity to keep outside pollution (dust, smoke, and noise) away. But the seal works both ways: with no fresh air getting in, and no bedroom air quality monitor to warn you, CO2 builds up invisibly every night when the bedroom doors are shut.
The twist: the same sealing that delivers all this comfort also traps something far less welcome — CO2, a colorless, odorless gas you can't see or smell. A bedroom can look spotless and still hold air that quietly works against your health.
Waking up tired
Morning headaches
Restless, shallow sleep
Poor concentration
Most noticeable in children, the elderly, and those working long hours indoors — even when they get "enough" hours of sleep.
With the door closed for 8 hours, two people breathing take the room from ~700 ppm at bedtime past 1,600 ppm by 3 AM — and it stays there until morning. This happens in summer and winter alike, because the windows stay shut against heat, cold, noise and pollution.
Elevated CO2 is not toxic at these levels — but it indicates insufficient fresh air, acting as a subtle environmental sedative.
A VentPlus carbon dioxide monitor & controller which controls your exhaust fan watches the air 24×7. The moment the CO2 level crosses the threshold set by you (say 1,000 ppm), the fan switches on. This brings fresh air — with a CO2 level of about 420 ppm — into the room, bringing the CO2 level down. Once the CO2 level comes down below the set limit (say 800 ppm), it switches off the fan. All this is done silently and automatically.
Track your bedroom air quality live from your phone, tablet or laptop. The online VentPlus dashboard plots real-time and historical CO2 levels for every room. In the chart below, the dotted line shows the estimated CO2 without VentPlus — climbing from about 500 ppm when the bedroom doors closed at 21:10 to nearly 1,800 ppm by 06:00, leaving you breathing unhealthy air for hours. With the VentPlus CO2 monitor & controller installed, levels never cross 1,000 ppm and indoor air quality stays 'Good' all night — for deeper sleep and healthier mornings.

In a controlled bedroom field study, ventilating the room to bring night-time CO2 down from around 2,400 ppm to about 835 ppm significantly improved both sleep and next-day performance:
Objectively measured sleep quality improved significantly at the lower CO2 level.
Reported sleepiness fell and the ability to concentrate the next day improved.
Subjects scored better on a next-morning test of logical thinking.
